Complex of Ludomir Różycki State Music Schools


Complex of L. Różycki State Music Schools in Kielce was founded on 01.01.2013. It consists of Comprehensive Music School( First and Second Level of Education) and L. Różycki State Music School (First and Second Level of Education).
Our school offers a very good value of musical and general education. It is situated in a complex of modern and renovated buildings. There are a lot of facilities which make studies more comfortable and pleasant ,for example the wide variety of classical and electronic musical instruments, interactive boards, foreign language rooms with microphones and headset kits, a computer room with modern equipment, access to the internet and computer programmes for ICT lessons.
What is more this school is a centre of cultural life because of  the  big air conditioned music hall and a chamber hall. The important events in school life are concerts combining artistic  and educational purpose.
Thanks to the modern security and anti fire systems the school is a safe and friendly place for our students. Children are able to spend  time in a common room, which provides them with educational care before and after lessons, and eat dinner in our school canteen. It is important to mention the fact that a big car park  situated near the school can be used by parents and our guests.

The kindergarden and first grades of primary education have the great impact on physical end emotional development. The school offers education, care and preparing for adult life. Education in Music school has plenty of advantages. Playing the musical instrument, and music lessons improve intellectual development and ability to study in more effective way. Thanks to musical education children are able to deal with stressful situations connected with performing on the stage. Our school is for students who want to combine music passion and scientific knowledge. Small groups during learning create friendly atmosphere and encourage children to develop their skills and talent. Moreover in our school students have the opportunity to study under the supervision of high qualified teachers.

Comprehensive Music School (First and Second Level of Education) provides general academic education based on the Regulation by the Minister of National Education of 23 December 2008 on Core Curricula for Pre-school and General Education in particular types of schools and basic musical education based on the Regulation by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of 19.08.2002 on Core Curricula in Art Schools.
Individual music lessons (playing the musical instrument) are held before or after group lessons. Compulsory subjects held in the afternoon are:

  • Choir
  • Orchestra
  • Chamber band

State Music School (First and Second Level of Education) provides musical education in the afternoon.

Education in music school children start at the age of six-seven. They pass entry exam to
- Comprehensive Music School First level of education
- State Music School (First level of education) child section

Children up to 9 years old can start education in State Music School (First level of Education) child section. Children and teenagers over 10 years old are able to enter State Music School (First level of Education) Teenage section.
Children and teenagers over 13 years old can start education in:
- Comprehensive Music School (Second Level of Education)
- State Music School (Second Level of Education)
Teenagers over 15 years old are able to pass entry exam to Comprehensive Music School Second Level of Education (4th grade)
Musical instruments which can be chosen by our students: piano, string instruments (apart from harp), wind instruments, accordion, harpsichord, organ, drums. It is possible to choose vocal (students over 15, State Music School) or rhythmics department.

Ludomi RóżyckiOur school is named after Ludomir Różycki - a Polish composer, conductor and a pedagogue. He composed symphonic poems, concerts, chamber music, songs, and first of all operas. His ballet "Pan Twardowski" was the first Polish large-scale ballet to be performed abroad.
